Sense of Sight

👀 What do families see when they walk into your church?
The sense of sight is often the very first impression families—both new and long-time members—have of your church, and it sets the tone for how they feel about being there. A clean, well-kept building with clear signage communicates that the church values excellence and hospitality, while warm, welcoming spaces inside show intentionality toward families with children. For new families, what they see often determines whether they feel comfortable returning, and for existing families, fresh and inviting visuals help them take pride in their church community. From the parking lot to the sanctuary to the children’s rooms, sight shapes the story your church tells about who you are and how much you care about people.
Here are a couple question you can begin to ask yourself about how your church values SIGHT?
Does the exterior look clean, welcoming, and is the main entry easy to find?
Does your first Impression feel bright, uncluttered, and safe for kids?
How are your children’s spaces decorated?
Are the visuals and print items during worship/teaching engaging?
Does your marketing/website/social media include photos of real families and kids?
